Sonya Dakar’s Drying Potion Is The Best $25 I’ve Ever Spent On A Beauty Product. Really.
Thanks to a crazy travel schedule and a series of big, important meetings, my skin has been breaking out since circa 1994, when I was 13. I went to get a facial (for Chicago residents, check out Spa Space, a hip and knowledgeable place with a full menu of services) and on the recommendation of my aesthetician, spent the best $25 EVER.
Sonya Dakar’s Drying Potion is truly a miracle potion. It’s billed as “Hollywood’s secret weapon” and claims to dry pimples overnight. It’s formulated with
Dead Sea sulfur to reduce redness and puffiness, pure lavender and chamomile to calm breakouts, sage to disinfect, and peppermint to stimulate blood circulation to promote speedy healing.
After using it religiously for about a week, I can vouch for that. What started out as an ominous red mound at was a fast fading pink spot by . And just in case you don’t trust me, Allure named it the “Best Zit Cream”.

That sounds great, but I have sensitive skin and lavender is usually irritating. I have tried “everything”. A friend recommended DeborahRenee Clinical Skincare Products. They have a wonderful acne line that doesn’t have any oils, fragrance or dyes added. The Blemish Control Cream works immediately and is great for many other blemishes as well! Love it!
