Last week, Victoria’s Secret quietly launched a high-end collection of intimates designed in house and aimed toward a more sophisticated clientele. At $48 for a thong, prices for the Victoria’s Secret Designer Collection are a considerable step up from their usual 3-for-$25 fare, but the pieces are gorgeous and, we think, worth the money.

Shoppers seem to agree — the collection has been flying off the shelves (both literally and online), so snap up your favorite pieces before they’re all gone! We rounded up a few standouts in the slideshow.

I’m not one for New Year’s Resolutions: usually mine is “not to make a New Year’s Resolution,” and so I always end keep it that way. No one gets disappointed, everybody wins. So obviously you won’t see me taking 7 mile runs in the middle of January, but I am getting married in August, and the one thing that always deters me from the gym is a good sports bra. I just hate them. This one is rather Wonder Woman-esque, though, isn’t it? I could see myself totally getting behind this one.

Called the “Olympic sports bra” by Shock Absorber ($80) it’s specially designed for running, and it’s also part mesh/part elastic, with straps in the back that look a little bit complicated but totally supportive. I mean, look at how cool the girl in the photo at left looks! Have you ever seen anyone look cool in a sports bra? Didn’t think so. She’s not even sweating! That’s because this bra wicks it all away, like it never happened.

Dutch lingerie brand Marlies Dekkers is abandoning most women’s desires for a perfect strapless bra and instead created a line of the strappiest possible bras and undergarments, like the “Beautiful Bat” balcony bra that Britney Spears wore in one of her music videos (pictured above).  Other styles include dominatrix-esque push-up bras adorned with straps above the cups, as well as strappy thongs and briefs. Not only are the bras show-off worthy, but they’ve also got to be far more supportive than your average push-up–they have all the help from additional straps! See more from the line below:

File this under “First World Problems:” we just discovered (via Fashionista) a bra that rids its wearers of cleavage wrinkles. Is this really a problem? I guess with Botox and other wrinkle inhibitors, women don’t want to have a trace of a wrinkle, well, anywhere.

Where there’s a sartorial problem, there’s a solution–and this one is La Decolette, a strange frontal bra contraption that offers absolutely no support, but comes with a serum developed by a hospital medical director in the Netherlands, La Creme de la Decolette, which is great if you’re especially paranoid about cleave wrinkles, because it now comes as a set for $100.

What do you get when you mix blow-up underwear and a camelbak style bra? An inflatable, airbag bra, obviously.

The product will launch tomorrow, ahem, on April Fool’s Day–so we’re slightly suspicious. Before inflation, it’s actually a fairly normal-looking bra (photo below), padded with a deflated air bag, which is triggered to inflate upon, um, forceful contact.  Hugs just got a whole lot more interesting.
