Kate Moss has a lot to say to WWD today, ranging from the fact that women multitask better than men to the interesting note that “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” (though she admits it’s a motto she often forgets).  In light of the recent European release of her latest fragrance, Vintage, the fashion daily looks at Kate’s career on the whole.  The secret’s out: the supermodel has turned into a bona fide businesswoman.

From her Topshop line to her fragrances, Kate is deeply involved in her branding.  It seems to be working – we’re jealous that Europe gets the first crack at Vintage, which will debut in the U.S. early next year, though we’ll make do, for now, with her original scent, Kate.  And WWD also notes that she may create a custom collection with cosmetics brand Rimmel – so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for some Kate-formulated mascara.

If you’re looking to make like Kate, the good news is that the model-turned-businesswoman claims she’s low maintenance.  So grab your skinny jeans and your best mascara, because that might be all it takes.

Apparently, according to The New York Times and hairstylists across Manhattan, Blake Lively’s hair is the new “Rachel;” countless women have been requesting this Gossip Girl ‘do from their respective stylists. Now, we’re definitely jealous of Lively’s signature tresses, but take it from someone who actually got “the Rachel” oh so many years ago, not everyone is meant to have TV-star hair. First things first: to get Blake’s powerful hair you’ll need a powerful hair dryer. Used by many a professional stylist, this Solano blow dryer got me through those tough post-Rachel years.

Nicole Richie has released photos of her upcoming women’s apparel line, Winter Kate, and so far, we like what we see. Richie’s Spring 2010 collection definitely reflects her own boho-chic style, featuring vintage-inspired dresses, tunics and jackets (and more) made of silky, embroidered fabrics. The clothes won’t be available until February, but you can get your hands on some of Richie’s equally lovely jewelry right now.

Today Variety reports that Angelina Jolie is in talks to play the role of Patrizia Reggiano in Ridley Scott’s upcoming film, Gucci.  The film will depict “murder and decadence in the Gucci fashion dynasty.”  We’re particularly intrigued, since Reggiano was sentenced to 29 years in jail for having plotted the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci.

First, we really hope this pairing comes to fruition.  Second, we can only dream, for now, about how incredible those clothes are going to be.  I for one am envisioning a lot of to-die-for Gucci heels and vampy dresses.

Oh, young Hollywood.  We suppose this is better, or at least, more intentional, than a DUI or a nip-slip.  Lily Allen and Taylor Momsen are among those wandering the streets with purposefully exposed thigh-high stockings flashing their semi-opaque selves to the world.  We’re not terribly inspired to cop the look from start to finish, but we are intrigued about more appropriately worn garter tights.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are expanding their line The Row to include, initially, four sunglasses styles.  This makes sense, since the famous twins are well-known for slipping around New York and Los Angeles, hidden behind various giant eyewear styles.

Esquire named Kate Beckinsale the Sexiest Woman Alive this year.  I love that titles like that include the word “alive.”  As if you’d get confused.  Anyway, Kate Beckinsale was not competing against dead women for this honor, though if she was, she’d have a leg up on them, since besides being sexy she’s also quite fashionable.

We like her red carpet style and her more casual get-up.  Her black wrap dress gets the look right, and that squared-off black hobo she’s toting is pretty enviable.

People magazine’s Best Dressed of 2009 list was announced this morning, and we like their line-up of sophisticated ladies. Fashionable honors went to some of our favorite actresses like Kate Winslet and Reese Witherspoon, and of course, to semi-stars like Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie. Since we’re all for doing more than just admiring these trendy celebs, we’ve got the down-low on where to snag our favorite items from the list.
