Like Gilt Groupe, Vente Privee USA started in France–today is the first day American shoppers will have access. Upping the online sample sale game, these sales will feature hi-def videos, ridiculously clear photographs and even music. Kinda cool, huh?

Home by Novogratz is a staple in my DVR. Robert & Cortney Novogratz are this amazingly boho-chic couple who have 7 gorgeous kids, live in an amazing house on the West Side Highway they re-did themselves, and spend each episode breathing life into less-than-stellar places. I know about them b/c my TV almost permanently stuck on Bravo, and last year, their show 9 by Design really reeled me in. Their style is enviable to the point that every time I watch it, I scrutinize my own tiny apartment and dream of how Cortney would narrate the transformation.

Anyway! Last week, Bob & Cort (yeah, we’re tight like, at least in my head) flew to L.A. to create a store for Babakul within the legendaryFred Segal. (See photographic evidence above.) Not only is it awesome, but it was also genius product placement b/c now I really want to shop there. Well, now you CAN. And lots of stuff is on sale. Way cheaper than a plane ticket to sunny Lala land.

ReFashioner.com boasts impressive designer merchandise, from McQueen to Chanel. We glanced at the site and found a YSL skirt with the original tags on and chic patent Lanvin heels within minutes. The site is for serious fashionistas; you have to “apply” for a membership (e-mail membership@refashioner.com) and the prices are close to retail.

2. Posh Swaps

Posh Swaps is more of a mixed bag when it comes to designer labels, but the prices are great and there are definitely gems to be found, including these black strappy Alaïa platforms. It’s an international site, so you have access to closets all over the world, which is a major plus. Nobody at your office will have that skirt from Brazil or the pumps from London, we can guarantee it.

3. Makeup Alley

If beauty is your vice, head over to Makeup Alley, a community of beauty enthusiasts where you’ll find hundreds of brand name products, reviews and message boards. On the swap side, we found some great new or slightly used products – highlights include jars of the high-end Creme de La Mer and La Prairie Anti-Aging Foundation.

There’s a new bidding site out there (new as in they launched nine days ago) and we’ve been logging on compulsively today to check on the $50 Neiman Marcus gift card and adorable Lauren Merkin clutch that are currently going for about a dollar.

FashionBay.com lets you bid on luxury goods – including gift cards to stores like Neiman’s, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales – that can sell for up to 99% less than their retail value.

Getting started is pretty simple:

1. Register for free, and get a free bid when you sign up.

2. Buy a bid package. Bids start at 80 cents each, but you can get them for as low as 68 cents if you buy in bulk.

Fear not, for Covet Shop specializes in luxury brand consignment items. The online consignment store offers everything from a  Chloe Paddington Padlock Satchel ($600, compared to $1585 at Nordstrom) to a Milly Beaded Jacquard Dress (on sale for $115). I already have my eye on this angora blend Diamond Cardigan by Rebecca Taylor (marked down to $70).

Unlike your local thrift store where you have to rummage through mu mus (not Miu Mius) and bell bottoms and outdated holiday sweaters to find that one-of-a-kind gem, Covet Shop offers fashionable couture and high-end finds at a significant discount. Some products are vintage, some are the “it” item of the day. Handbags, shoes, and accessories all offer plenty of choices for any picky fashionista, but unfortunately, you will still have to cross your fingers when looking for clothing that the item you covet is in your size. Despite that small caveat, we’re thrilled to find such a unique store.
