Sponsored Post: What It’s Like To Wear Reebok EasyTone Sneakers

A couple of weeks ago, I set out to try Reebok’s new EasyTone sneakers, which aim to tone your legs using built-in balance pods that destabilize your step a bit and increase muscle activation.* And try I did. Walking in the shoes feels a little…different. It’s not necessarily more difficult, but I did notice a change, thanks to the balance pods. After a several-hours-long walk uptown, around the park, and back down to my apartment (spring!), my legs were definitely tired. Actually, my whole self was tired. I promptly fell asleep on my couch. Have you tried Reebok EasyTone sneakers? If you have, tell us what you think in the comments section - and check out our editorial coverage of Reebok EasyTone Sneakers, too. <div class="" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" id="ooyalaPlayer_4uauu_fuo71svg" width="300" height="250" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab"><div name="movie" value="http://www.ooyala.com/player.swf" class=""></div><div name="quality" value="high" class=""></div><div name="bgcolor" value="#000000" class=""></div><div name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" class=""></div><div name="allowFullScreen" value="true" class=""></div><div name="flashvars" value="embedCode=1lY3ZjOvedQIPUv191wSZG7NFQ6OTbSA" class=""></div><div class="" src="http://www.ooyala.com/player.swf" mce_src="http://www.ooyala.com/player.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#000000" width="300" height="250" name="ooyalaPlayer_4uauu_fuo71svg" align="middle" play="true" loop="false" quality="high" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="embedCode=1lY3ZjOvedQIPUv191wSZG7NFQ6OTbSA" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"></div></div> *Increased muscle activation up to 28% Gluteus Maximus, 11% Hamstrings, 11% calves. Give Your Problem Skin a Chill Pill with Clinique Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask

What: Clinique Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask, $19.50 Why: Face masks can either serve as the occasional indulgent girly treat, or a hardworking member of your regular skincare arsenal.  This product from Clinque falls into the latter category.  The white, creamy clay-based mask applies easily with no stickiness or funky smell.  As it hardens, I can almost feel it vacuuming the oil and gunk out of my acne-prone pores.  It washes off with a couple of splashes of water, leaving my skin feeling smooth and clean, and me feeling weirdly virtuous, like I may have subverted a massive skin crisis without even bringing out the big guns. The best part?  The entire process takes less than five minutes, meaning it's not off-limits for busy workweek mornings, too.  Get Yours:  clinique.com

Lavanila: An Eco Fragrance That Doesn’t Smell Like Patchouli

What: Lavanila Vanilla Lavender Fragrance, $56 Why: Perfume is a super particular thing for some people - not surprising, as you are the one that has to smell it all day. So I'm always hesitant to try a new fragrance and therefore keep a load of cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol nearby (yes, I test all on my skin - you know nothing smells the same on those tiny paper strips). But after one spray of Lavanila Vanilla Lavender, my worries dissipated, as this all-natural, eco-friendly fragrance was clean, calm, and not at all overpowering. Oh yes, the best part: You're apparently infusing your skin with antioxidants and vitamins with every spritz. Now I don't know if that's true, but it can't hurt to think so.  Get Yours: sephora.com

What To Wear With: The Dreaded White Jeans

Don't be afraid of white jeans this spring - I promise, those larger than a size four can pull off this trend. Just hear me out. The type of jeans you buy is important. Find a slim-fitting pair ($154) that hits at the ankle. Anything longer will start to bunch and look messy (and will also get really dirty). Now the true secret to wearing the white jean - even for the skinny folk - is in the butt-covering tunic. I have a closet full of long loose shirts I wear with leggings, and now white jeans, that instantly make my legs look longer and leaner because they cover the rear and don't cling to the hips. Choose a summery print or plaid ($23) to complement the white and battle the leftover April breezes by layering with a crop-sleeve jacket ($175). Have fun with your shoes and opt for a wedge in a bold color or metallic ($83). Finally, keep it casual with some understated bracelets ($58) and a  pendant necklace ($92), and stash your stuff in a lightweight printed tote ($12.60).

Deal Of The Day: 50% Off Lots Of Bikinis At Couture Candy

We particularly like these three for their unfussy cuts and colors. The perfectly restrained detail on this bikini ($80, was $160): thin leather straps on the halter. We like the retro feel that fuller-cut bottoms give to this bikini ($85, was $170). The ties on the bandeau and bottoms make this one ($81, was $162) totally adjustable. The Three Eyeliners I Tried Last Week: No Powder, No Black

Two sad truths I acknowledged last week: I am pale (usually) and my beloved black powder eyeliner can make a pale gal look sort of zombie-ish when it migrates down below my lower lashes. So I switched it up: three new formulas, three livelier colors. Here are the results: 1. Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Gel Eyeliner With Brush ($22.50) Color: Ocean Teal Formula: Gel Notable: Far easier to apply than I expected, and far less crazy-club-kid blue. The shade is incredibly pretty. 2. Wet N Wild H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner ($4) Color: Espresso Formula: Liquid Notable: Really, seriously waterproof. I put this on, went for a run, tried to take it off with makeup remover, showered, and still had some on. 3. Pixi Lid And Line Eye Makeup ($18) Color: Smoky Mink Formula: Pencil Notable: Goes on smoothly, and doesn’t look waxy like other pencils I’ve tried. It also comes with shadow and a sponge for smudging – all in a package the size of a pen. Conclusions: I think the Elizabeth Arden liner is going to be my new go-to – it’s really that wearable. I’m stashing the Pixi in my desk because it’s so easy to swipe on and smudge in. I’ll put on the Wet N Wild stuff during my imaginary romantic beach vacation.

Nicole Richie for House of Harlow: Celebrity Style Worth The Hype (Finally)

What: House of Harlow 1960 by Nicole Richie Why: I've always been averse to celebrity fashion lines. After being underwhelmed Lindsay Lohan's ridiculous leggings, I found it hard to get excited when I heard that Nicole Richie was putting out a jewelry line. So imagine my surprise when I realized that Richie's line is actually creative, chic, and still totally looks like something she would wear - which she does. The line has an elegant bohemian vibe - if that makes sense - and many of the pieces would look great either by themselves or layered with others. If you like your jewelry to make a major statement, the large Tiger Eye Ring ($48) will do the trick. My absolute favorite has to be the Gold Red Resin Earrings ($28). I feel like I can never decide if big chandelier earrings are over yet or not, but I think the fact that these are eye-catching without hanging so low strikes the perfect compromise. If you're impressed, explore celebrity-inspired jewelry, and peruse celebrity dresses and scarves while you're at it.
