Google can now ad “fashion expert” to its figurative resume. The company just opened Boutiques.com today – it’s first real venture into fashion – a site that allows you to peruse shoes, clothing, bags and accessories, as well as individual boutiques set up by your favorite designers (Tory Burch, Oscar de la Renta), celebrities (Nicole Richie, Ashley Olsen) and even bloggers (check out SHEfinds’ boutique!). Just as with anything Google touches, the site is user-friendly and pretty darn cool. Tell us what you think.

The Matt & Nat Scrilla ($101.97, down from $255) is an earthy take on a studded tote with its vegan status and slouchy, easy silhouette. Don’t be fooled – it works just as easily with a chic, nighttime look as it does with jeans and a tee.

In the “Yes, Please!” category, this MICHAEL Michael Kors Uptown Astor Large Shoulder Tote ($448) is pretty much handbag nirvana. We have trouble imagining an outfit this wouldn’t look amazing with, plus it has strap options, always a good thing.

For maximum impact, the Morcheba Clutch from Malene Birger ($445) is your best bet. Because this foldover clutch mixes different metals and shapes, your other accessories will fit right in and further enhance the rocker-glam chicness of this bag. We love it with a cropped blazer and skinny jeans or a little black dress.

Olivia Harris’ lambskin Studded Ball Leather Hobo ($495) mixes a classic chain strap with the super trendy studded look to arrive at a bag that’s edgy and elegant at the same time, bound to be a wardrobe staple for a long time.

And if you’d need to sell your gold fillings to afford some of the pricier studded options, we feel your pain. Thankfully, Old Navy brings us the supercute Old Navy Studded Hobo ($30.50) which has a comfortable carrying shape and an on-trend trim of mixed metal embellishments, and leaves you some money for a killer pair of over the knee boots.

These Modern Vintage Camie Suede Flat Boots ($350) are a perfect classic boot, but with suede’s added texture and the slightest of heels to give a little height and polish, especially when worn with your best fitting jeans.

The Theo Flat Boots ($425) from Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent strike the perfect balance between tough and tender with their buckle strap detail and exposed zipper. These would be great with jeggings, a blazer and a crossbody bag, channeling an urban equestrian look. Love it!

You’ll need something new to wear with the summer dresses you’ll be wearing with cardis or blazers, and the Steven by Steve Madden Abee Tall Boot ($249.95) is the perfect pair, since its military-inspired buttons are too great looking to hide under pants.

And the Banana Republic Hero over-the-knee boots ($250) are amazingly sleek and sexy worn over skinny jeans, skinny cords or even under your best fitting work pants.

For a more rugged, casual style, we love Madewell’s Flat Motorcycle Boots ($230). The pebbled leather and buttoned ankle strap lend added interest to this pair, sure to become utility players in your fall wardrobe, during the week and and weekends alike.

1. Marc Jacob’s Tape Measure:

The fine print on this Marc by Marc Jacobs Croc of Q Tape Measurer ($40.60) reads, “Standard Supple. Type: Workwear.” I am fairly certain there is nothing “standard” about a faux-croc embossed tape measure, and I don’t think it qualifies as “workwear” either.

2. Hermés Drawer Liners

If you want closet drawers stacked with Hermés – but don’t have $20,000 to spend on clothes – just go for these Hermés Vetiver scented paper drawer liners ($45).

3. Chanel Sporting Goods

Chanel’s sports line includes everything from surf boards to fishing rods and footballs (really). So if you’re somehow an extremely sporty person who also lives for labels, this is your holy grail.

Our favorite is this Chanel Bocce Ball Set ($3,000, check site for store locater).

4. Marc Jacobs Cooler Bag

If you’ve ever said to yourself, “I wish I had a designer bag to hold my cold beers at the beach,” then Marc Jacobs read your mind. This Marc by Marc Jacobs Lil Lower Cooler bag ($16.00) keeps you and your freezer items cool.

5. Hermés Ash Tray

For the smokers of the world, this Hermés Porcelain Ashtray ($620) is a fancy place to stick those cigarette buts. If you like the fancy white porcelain dish, but find the design to be – well, un-PC – it comes in 5 other less offensive designs.

6. Louis Vuitton Snow Globe

If you’d rather not than buy a fake Louis Vuitton bag, but don’t have the dough for a real one, go for this Louis Vuitton Red Alma Snow Globe ($595) instead. It’s also a great holiday gift for the label lover in your life, especially if he or she is a closet collector.

7. Fendi Bicycle

At Fendi, riding a bike is just another opportunity to look glamorous. This decadent Abaci Andante Donna bike ($9,500) comes with a removable Fendi trunk, fur saddlebags, and leather accessories (key, bike chain cover, leather GPS navigation holder). For the frugal, a more scaled-down $5,900 version of the bike is also available.

8. Hermés Bridge Cards

So what if the Birkin no longer has a waiting list? It still has a 5 digit price tag. Satiate your need for anything Hermes with these Hermés Bridge Cards ($80)–they’ll keep you busy while you wait for your 401K to mature.

How great looking is this Old Navy Canvas Bucket Bag ($19.50)? It comes in four great colors – we think this punchy red is just the best. It’s bright for summer, tame enough to be worn as a neutral, and cheap enough to take a chance on.

The tie-dye print on the Gap Slouchy Washed Hobo ($29.99, down from $39.50) is a fun but doesn’t scream 80′s because of it’s muted, stormy colors. The double strap and deep inside pockets make it a great find.

And if you need a really basic, neutral bag, go for the Tarnish Cotton Hobo ($33.90, down from $68) for its summery burlap texture and earth-tone rings and cords. It also satisfies the hot tribal trend.

You may know her as the vicious (and stylish) Gossip Girl villain Georgina Sparks (or as Harriet the Spy if you’re references are a little outdated), but Michelle Trachtenberg will now be known for wearing this clunky outfit. Michelle’s over-accessorized, unflattering get-up looks more like something Georgina would rip apart than wear herself.

What she did wrong:

Michelle went overboard accessorizing what could have been a sexy, sparkly LBD. She should have chosen the jacket or the bag or the belt – not all three.

Pale legs and gladiator-style sandals do nothing to elongate or slenderize the leg. A little self tanner and peep toe pumps could have gone a long way.

What she should have done:

Never underestimate the power of the LBD; sexy numbers like this Ann Taylor Asymmetrical Neck Knit Dress ($98) don’t need tons of accessories – they stand alone.

Michelle should have skipped the oversize, distracting belt and gone with a skinny, metallic one. We love this versatile Cole Haan Ali Center-Bar Leather Belt ($48); belt any black top or dress with it for an instant nighttime look.

Rather than the noisy jacket, Michelle should have gone with an arm full of bangles. We love this GUESS Metallic Silver Bangle Bracelet ($25) – it’s an accessory we can get behind.

Rather than a Grecian style that makes calves and legs look thicker, Michelle should have gone with a slimming peep toe like these sexy ASOS PRINCESS peep toe shoe ($47.35).

We kind of think her blue sequin clutch is awesome; if you are bold enough to try the look, this Menbur Sequined clutch($69) pretty much nails it.
