A Facebook friend scooped us to this gem, and although we are in the market for some Spring Break swimwear, is clearly not a viable option for the beaches of Aruba. It did give us a good laugh, though, and brought up some important questions: What is this thing really for? Is it actually meant for swimming, or to be used as part of a Halloween costume? And, perhaps most importantly, why does this woman have a castle on her crotch?

When I went as Lady Gaga for Halloween two years ago, all I did was buy a hooded swimsuit from American Apparel and a bow made of fake hair off of Etsy. This year’s Lady Gaga Halloween costume is similarly low-maintenance: if you aren’t a natural blonde, all you’ll need is a wig and bandana (the one pictured above includes both, and is only $17.95), black eyeliner, and essentially the exact same pieces you’d use if you were dressing up as Sandy from Grease (read: a leather jacket and pair of black skinny jeans). Nineteen-year-old Jane Aldridge, of SeaofShoes.com, has made a name for herself in the fashion blogosphere due to her good looks, girlish sense of style, and burgeoning designer shoe collection. The Texas native started blogging pictures of her shoes and clothing inspiration at the tender age of 15, with the help of her mother. She and mom Judy have since collaborated on capsule collections for Urban Outfitters and Gryphon. So why keep it classy this year by dressing up as Jane for Halloween? Fifteen-year-old Tavi Gevinson has been writing for her blog, The Style Rookie, since she was 11, and has since been written up by the New York Times and invited to the front row of copious fashion shows. Known for her signature-colored locks (ranging in shades from grey to blue, as pictured above) and penchant for layering, Tavi is never one to follow the fashion hoards.
