Breaking: First Photos Of The Temple St. Clair For Target Jewelry
The Temple St. Clair for Target jewelry line will debut only online on August 29--and everything's under $50. We managed to get a sneak peek of a few of the collaboration designs so you know what you'll be waiting in line for. A little background: 25 years before young designers like Proenza Schouler and Erin Fetherston were plucked from art school to the runways, there was Temple St. Clair, a student in Florence, who became a full-fledged jewelry designer when her work was chosen to sell in Barneys by a European buyer. Ever since, name has since been synonymous with ornate jewelry inspired by Renaissance Italy that retails for over $1000--but soon her designs will be showing up in everyone's jewelry box for under $50. Can't wait? Shop the original Temple St. Clair line now at Saks -- and look forward to our sneak peek their new fall collection next week, too.

Exciting news: Banana Republic is hopping on the collaboration bandwagon--and its first one is a good one. Chan Luu will design a 17-piece collection for the brand. And if you live in San Francisco, even better news: the goods will be available at Banana Republic's first accessories-only store, Edition, on May 20, and will roll out online and in more stores in the U.S., Canada, and Japan on August 10. Check out the first photos, below, courtesy of Banana Republic. The 17-piece collection of bracelets consists of four different styles in a range of colors, and will cost from $95 to $225. Sneak Peek: Eugenia Kim’s Hats For Target Have Us Wishing For Bad Hair Days
Eugenia Kim designs hats for A-listers like Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie and Madonna that cost up to $300, but the milliner is bringing her high fashion designs to Target with a Cuban-inspired line of hats priced between $14.99 and $19.99. Nitrolicious has a full look of the collection, available April 18 in stores and online, that is cute enough to make you want to have a bad hair day--do you remember how great Reese Witherspoon looked in her straw fedora? The teal color and black and white striped ribbon on this straw fedora (left) is a quirky take on a classic fedora. The shades of black on this straw cloche (right) looks modern and unexpected--in a good way. You don't have to be a granny gardener to wear this wide brimmed straw hat with blue ribbon detail (left). This sunflower print hat is perfect for the beach or running around on the weekends. Here are some Eugenia Kim hats you can buy now: Eugenia Kim Max Panama Fedora ($320) Eugenia Kim Laura Floppy Sunhat ($176) Eugenia Kim Max Fedora with Leopard Trim ($265) Check out Cynthia Vincent's shoes for Target that will be released the same day (April 18), and then check our guide to the best spring fashion trends, and the best summer hats.
First Look: Four Genius Style Tips From Ann Taylor’s Roaring ’20s Party
The crowd at Ann Taylor's fall 2010 collection was surprisingly really cool, and so were the clothes. Once upon a time, Ann Taylor was my mother's go-to store for work wardrobe essentials, but the brand definitely went up a few notches on the cool scale with their twenties-inspired collection for fall. It-girl Rachel Bilson even made an appearance, and while I haven't seen any paparazzi pics of the starlet shopping at Ann Taylor, her outfit alone is proof that you must get thee to your nearest store. The collection won't be in stores until this fall, but check out four styling tips we took away from the presentation that you can use now: 1. Buy some fringe. Rachel Bilson (left) wore the cutest pair of fringed black shorts, and the Nanette Lepore Festive Light Miniskirt below ($149, down from $298) is a great piece to introduce the twenties trend into your wardrobe. 2. Pair an anorak with your work outfit. I loved the idea of pairing a anorak with a pencil skirt for work, and this Kenneth Cole New York 'City' Anorak ($98) (below) is a nice alternative to a trench coat for spring. 3. Add a touch of leopard to your neutral outfits. The presentation was full of splashes of leopard, and it made the outfits look hip. These Calvin Klein Women's Lexa II Ballet Flats ($93.05) will pop with any outfit. 4. Wear your ornate rhinestone jewels for day or night. As soon as I walked into the presentation, I was almost blinded by the amounts of rhinestone accessories, and they looked really cool with the everyday pieces. Wearing this Rachel Leigh Zelda Waltz Layering Necklace ($132) is a nice way to get in on the trend. Sneak Peek: Gwen Stefani’s Fall L.A.M.B. Handbags Look Like It-Bag Replicas We Want
I got a sneak peek of Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. fall 2010 collection of handbags, and while I loved them, I couldn't help but think that they looked familiar. A few of the bags echoed it-bags of the past and present, and after looking at the L.A. Times Magazine's 50 Signature Handbags feature, I began to connect the dots. I'm not a big fan of replicas, but these It-bags were popular for a reason. If you can't shell out thousands of dollars for a popular handbag, or it's no longer available, the L.A.M.B. collection, available this July and August, is the perfect medium that doesn't look cheap. The Balenciaga Motorcycle Bag ($898) is still cool and available--head to the Billion Dollar Babes Balenciaga handbag sample sale today--but the original Balenciaga will run you $1,195. This L.A.M.B. Vivian Satchel coming out this fall ($348) mimics the tough girl look, and the outside zipper pocket on the Balenciaga bag, but it's larger, and can hold your everyday essentials. Hollywood starlets like Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson carried the Yves Saint Laurent Mombasa ($1,045) bag all over town, and although I love the deer horn handle and the supple leather, the bag is entirely out of my budget. This L.A.M.B. Grant large sac ($228) is larger than its it-bag counterpart, and it's made of nylon, which is great for traveling. Designer Alexander Wang is creating a new type of cool luxury, and his Brenda Zip Chain Bag ($725) is so popular because of the pockets, zipper details, and long chains that almost look like jewelry. The L.A.M.B. Calico Messenger bag ($248) is sans chains, but it has the same feel of the Wang bag for a fraction of the cost. Sarah Jessica Parker made the Dior Saddle Bag a must have when she wore it on the Sex And The City series (get the white dress she wears in Sex And The City 2), and the shape is still fresh, you can get the Christian Dior Limited Edition Chris 1947 Red Pony Hair Saddle Bag ($400) now. This L.A.M.B. Fleur cross body bag ($168) has a similar shape, and the exposed zipper and longer strap bring it up to date. As The Number Of Busty Girls Grows, So Do Cute Bras. Finally.
This morning I stopped by Panache for a preview of their fall 2010 bras. Business must be booming for the brand, because according to WWD, bigger bra sizes are on the rise in the U.S., and Panache makes larger cup, non-dowdy bras. The brand introduced new colors and styles from their Harlequin, Cleo, and Panache Superbra lines, but the launch of Atlantis, a line of bust enhancing bras in cup sizes ranging from AA to E, was the big scoop. Check out a sneak peek of their fall 2010 bras, and then see three Panache bras you can buy now. The Atlantis collection has three levels of uplift (enhanced, dramatic, and ultimate), and the gel-filled liquid t-shirt bra will increase your bust size by 2 cup sizes (the bra in the middle). Panache's Cleo bras aren't your mother's bras. These bras give good support and they are extremely cute. This Antoinette bra from the Harlequin collection is gorgeous. The black and green color combination is surprisingly chic. Here are three great bras from the line that are available now: This Panache: Tango Classic Balconette Underwire Bra ($49) is a basic nude bra, but the demi cups make it sexy. I love the polka dots on this Panache: Cleo Toni Padded Plunge Underwire Bra ($53), and the lower neckline means you can wear v-neck tops without your bra showing. This Harlequin: Hestia Balconette Bra ($78.40) is delicate and pretty, but you can wear it under your every day clothes. Check out our best bras for big busts, the Insta-lift bra, and then see our roundup of the best underwear, and the best shapewear.
Sneak Peek: Coach’s Fall 2010 Collection Is All Over The Place, And We Like It
Coach previewed their fall 2010 collection yesterday, and it had something for everyone. If you want to channel your inner Gossip Girl, then you will love the flat shoes from the Poppy Collection. If you are more rocker than girly preppy, then you should pick up the leather studded handbag. Here's a sneak peek of my favorite items from the collection, and since it won't be available until July, check out three pieces at the bottom from Coach's spring line that you will wear all season long. These Cambria Flats ($138) (left) were adorable. The oversized bow and the mix of patterns made them playful and chic. The leather appliques on the large Sophia purse (right) ($798) were new territory for Coach, and it worked. And these black and grey Teagan ($198) shoes will be a must-have for fall. Coach is moving more into evening bags for fall 2010, and the Occasion Feather Zip Top Clutch (left) ($298) is great for holiday parties. And if I was in a mood to splurge, I would invest in the Jeweled Large Sophia handbag ($1000) that fell in line with the studded trend for fall. We can't stay away from nude at SheFinds, and the buckles on this Coach Stefanie Heel ($188) give the shoe some edge. This Coach Kristen Leather Clutch ($248) is a nice mix between silver and gold. The coral color on this Coach Peyton Leather Flap Bag ($278) will go well with any neutral outfit. Sneak Peek: Ellen Tracy’s Exclusive Line For Macy’s Fits In With Your Closet–And Wallet
Take a peek at the preview photos of Macy's new exclusive collection by Ellen Tracy, which launches later this month. Now that there seems to be a new collaboration every day, sometimes quality suffers, but if these two looks from the collection are any indication, this one will be worth it. You can't really go wrong with stripes and blazers--they're the cornerstones of dressing this spring--and the prices are just right. And this is a really good leather jacket for the price; it looks worn in enough that you can't tell it's faux. At top left: We love the faux leather jacket ($149.50), menswear top ($79), and skinny black pants ($59.50). At right: This outfit is a lifesaver on days you don't know what to wear, Blazer ($49.50), sequin top, ($149.50), and skinny jeans ($59.50). What do you think--will you make your way over to Macy's for the exclusive collection? Get one of our favorite pairs of skinny jeans now, or check out our guide to discount jeans, or white jeans.
Sex and the City 2 Is Almost Here and We’ve Got Photos to Prove It
Today we received our first official sneak peek at Sex and the City 2 through the highly anticipated trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKQ5yRFkBnE Stylist Patricia Field did an excellent job curating beautiful clothes for the girls, and the plot has us captivated, too. Anthony and Stanford tying the knot? The girls in the desert? Samantha and a new man? We can barely wait until May 28 to see it all. Alas, we can only hope they release another even juicier trailer before May, but if not here are some stills from the movie to tide us all over. We're obsessed with the simplicity of Carrie's white v-neck dress and gold accessories. Miranda's killer mustard colored asymmetrical dress and belt combo is something to consider for spring. Meanwhile, we're excited to see a peplum silhouette on Charlotte. We're trying to guess what will happen based on the looks on their faces--it looks like Samantha just said someting inapppropriate. We're seriously lusting after a jewel-toned dress to pair with our tights in the meantime. Ah, the Carrie closet shot. Too bad we can't see anything. We couldn't help but wonder: what is she doing in her old apartment? Miranda does sequins right, without looking like something out of '80s Dynasty. We're not sure how we feel about the urban turban--but we're having major hair envy. What do you think about Samantha's cut-out swimsuit? If you can't pull it off, maybe you'll be happy to know Spanx's doing a swimwear line. Feeling inspired by Carrie's shades or maybe Samantha's swimsuit? Check out more sunglasses and bathing suits in our buying guides.
