I guess if you’re more of a pants person, then this might not be news to you, but I’m a little amused by the sale The Outnet is having on “cocktail tops.”  While the notion of a “cocktail top” makes me think of something you might put over your drink to ward off unwanted roofies, they are actually a more expensive version of the college girl’s “going out top”–they tend to be sparkly, silky, and maybe a little low-cut. We’re always learning! If you are vehemently opposed to wearing cocktail dresses, or just need a cool top to go with your tired going-out-jeans-and-heels combo, this is your sale, because while most of these tops used to be in the $700 range, now they’re about as affordable as your Friday night bar tab….except the buzz lasts longer.

These tops bring whole new meaning to sports “clubs.”

Although Adidas by Stella McCartney has already been around for seven years, I guess I never really gave it the proper credit it deserves (it could have something to do with my equally neglected gym membership…). But upon viewing the collection on Net-a-Porter, I was shocked at two things: 1. the fact that it looks absolutely nothing like athletic apparel 2. the affordable price points (likely due to the fact that despite the aforementioned statement, it is supposed to be athletic apparel). And thanks to deductive reasoning, I discovered #3: it makes sense to buy from the Stella McCartney for Adidas line because it’s so reasonable, and just wear it everywhere BUT the gym. Since we’re based on the East Coast and Oprah doesn’t air until 4pm, I have yet to see Oprah’s last-ever makeover extravaganza show, but Tory Burch let us in on a few of the clothes that will be featured on the show. Whenever I hear of a cool collaboration for charity, my ears perk up, because there’s no better feeling than helping a good cause while you’re feeding your shopping addiction.
