Of course, every wardrobe needs a solid pair of flat boots for day-to-day wear. Three of us on the SheFinds team now have La Canadiennes, and we’re all enamored (in fact, we all wore them yesterday). Looking for a cozier option? We predicted a run on these short metallic UGG boots ($150), and they’re so hot that even we can’t find them in silver – but you can pre-order the gold ones in most sizes at Saks. For a little extra oomph in your errand running, try the FitFlop billow booties ($125) – they’re designed to tone your lower half as you walk.

Any true winter walker knows that those icky white salt stains are no friends to dark pants and boots. I was at a conference yesterday where an editor of a cool-hunting website — noted numerous times that Uggs were OVER and that she was ashamed her publication had endorsed the fad when they were hot. I have to say though, I'm not over my UGG®s. To me there's nothing nicer on a frosty day then to slip barefoot into luscious sheepskin. I know I'm not alone….the UGG®s Buying Guide is one of the most visited pages on the SheFinds site. Our friends over at UGG® Corporate tell us that the new Dunwich, Rainier and Locarno styles are moving fast. Last year's new styles — like the Uptown — sold-out before Christmas. Pro: They sure are comfortable and the new styles are not so Uggish Con: They sure are ugly (at least the traditional Uggs are) and fashion mavens say they're out (and have been for many seasons) What do you think — UGG®s — get 'em, toss 'em? This year there some high-powered names — Matthew McConaughey, Ashton Kutcher, Betsey Johnson, Kelly Ripa, Christina Milian, Debra Messing, Romero Britto and Kelly Preston — working their wiles on the boots, which go up for sale for two weeks starting today, on UGG® Australia’s site.
