Zoe Saldana Responds To Criticism About Her Husband Taking Her Last Name
After much buzz about Zoe Saldana's husband (Marco Saldana) taking her last name, the actress responded with a long passionate Facebook post. In her post she asks the public why they think it is such a big deal for a man to take his wife's name. She also highlights what is truly important, aside from who gets who's last name. Prior to changing his last name, Zoe warned her husband about the backlash he may see from the public. His response? Freakin' perfect: "Ah Zoe, I don't give a s**t." He then proceeded to ask her "Why not? What are you so afraid of?" A man that challenges you, isn't that we're looking for now-a-days? Zoe, looks like you've got yourself a keeper! Is it just us or does Zoe Saldana look pregnant in this pic? Of course it could just be the way she is standing or the wind blowing up her shirt, but we can't help but wonder. Zoe Saldana Proves White Shoes Aren’t Always Awful In These Casadei Pumps
While we all enjoy a good dress and shoe match, Zoe Saldana really nailed the look when she wooed photographers on the red carpet at the Independent Spirit Awards. Her green and white striped Dolce and Gabana dress was adorable, but it's the shoes that we are going gaga over. Her Casadei Calfskin Blade Heels Pumps ($790) are a clean white with solid green piping on the edges and the heel. Normally, we tend to stay away from white shoes because they're so hit or miss (and oftentimes, a complete and utter miss), but these are classy and super sexy. Shop them below. Stars Went Bold For Spring In Rainbow (ROYGBIV) Hues At Last Night’s Met Ball
From Left: Brooklyn Decker, Gisele Bündchen, Zoe Saldaña, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Eva Mendes While color blocking may still be one of our favorite trends for spring, celebrities at last night's Met Ball proved that sporting one bold hue works equally well to pack a punch. Brights ranged from Brooklyn's fuchsia Michael Kors to Gisele's red vintage Alexander McQueen, to Ginnifer's kelly green Topshop Unique dress. We know, we were wide-eyed too when we learned that both Ginnifer and Jessica Szohr (not pictured) were wearing Topshop dresses to arguably the year's biggest fashion event---and blending right in amidst their couture-clad counterparts. Believe It: Winter Coats That Are As Slimming As They Are Warm
Attention, ladies: we are declaring the end of too-short, too-boxy and otherwise ill-fitting jackets and coats this winter. We are sick of seeing you in winter coats that don't work for your shape, and you should feel the same way. Since it's difficult to find a coat that is actually warm, but that doesn't resemble a marshmallow, here are some options, by body type, that should work for you: Apple: A single-breasted style with a belt like this Ellen Tracy Belted Wool Walking Coat ($188) creates an hourglass shape like, which is perfect for apple shaped gals (thicker or wider in the mid-section). Tall: Lucky girl, you can wear a long coat like this luxurious Eileen Fisher Alpaca Doubleface Long Coat ($398) without being overwhelmed by all that rich, luxurious alpaca. Pear-shaped: As a pear-shaped girl myself, I highly recommend this Laundry by Shelli Segal Belted Down Jacket ($236.25) because I happen to own it and I love it. The fur collar balances out my bigger hips/butt and the longer hem covers my upper thighs. Athletic: Your boyish figure needs a girly color and style like this Kate Spade 'Ela' Coat ($675) that'll cinch you in and create curves. Stay away from boxy cuts to avoid looking masculine. Petite: Because of your tiny stature, you can wear a bold colored short coat like this Burberry Brit Quilted Microfiber Jacket ($395). With not a lot of bulk and length, your smaller frame won't be overwhelmed. Read more of our dress for your shape posts. Get the "after" look: Adrianna Papell Ombré Chiffon Sheath dress ($188) Victoria Beckham: In the days of Spice Girls, Victoria wasn't very Posh.
