We told you about the one thing you shouldn’t do when blow-drying your hair, but there’s a very important tip you also need to know besides that one. This is the one thing you shouldn’t do to wet hair, period.
Whatever you do, do not brush your hair when it’s wet. When your hair is wet, it is at its weakest! This means it’s most susceptible to breakage. By brushing wet hair, you are causing unnecessary hair loss, since brushing your hair wet will pull a lot of it out. Plus, by brushing your wet hair, you’re only allowing your hair to be more vulnerable to split ends and damage. The best time to brush your hair is when it is almost or completely dry.
But if you have tangles you want to get out, we suggest using a wide-tooth comb with smooth tooth ends so you don’t irritate you scalp. Also, make sure when running the comb through your hair that you’re brushing slowly. We recommend a comb like the one below:
