The "Valentine's Day" Premiere Best Dressed Award Goes To...
February 9, 2010
At the Valentine’s Day premiere it seemed that Jessica Alba was attacked by Tinkerbell, Anne Hathaway’s eye-catching cobalt blue feather tube dress was stunted at birth, and Jessica Biel’s cotton candy gown was bloodied in the making. That leaves the following women who scored a tie for first place in the best dressed category.
Julia Roberts donned a matronly and utterly drab black wrap shirt dress, but her niece, Emma Roberts (left), looked splendid in a Jenny Packham gold and metallic white mini. Demi Moore also made an appearance in a white strapless Chanel Couture cocktail dress that is to die for. Here, we’ve recreated the look for less.
Although on the high end, the craftsmanship of this Lela Rose Lace Organza Dress ($1595) simply can’t be beat. It’s fancy enough to wear at night, but it would also work for an important daytime event.
On your feet, add some subtle sparkle to your ensemble with delicate gold pumps by N.Y.L.A. ($110). These are simple enough that they don’t detract from the dress.
And finally, don’t forget the perfect accessories: Nadri Pavé Disc Earrings ($76). Simple, yet very sparkly, these inexpensive earrings are a brilliant addition to your jewelry collection.
