This Bikini Top Made Us Do A Double Take...Did You?
July 23, 2014
Ok people, this is not a joke. Thanks to the Free the Nipple campaign, swim and underwear designers are taking the phrase “it’s what’s on the inside that matters” way too far. Anatomical swimwear and underwear are showing up everywhere this summer, and they’re freaking us out. Just recently, Suki Waterhouse posted the Instagram picture above in nude bikini top with extremely realistic-looking nipples printed right on the cups. It sure made us look. Once realized that Suki wasn’t actually exposing herself and it was just the TaTa Top ($28), we were able to brush off our shock. We hoped that her bikini was the only one of its kind, but unfortunately, it’s not.
Soon after our TaTa Top encounter, we found underwear with cervix images printed right on the front (anatomy lesson included), and then we came across this Dem Guts Swimsuit ($90) by Black Milk Clothing, which illustrates a woman’s entire digestive system. We’re sorry, but NOBODY wants to see that. This trend has got to stop. And we know it’s a trend, because Black Milk’s swimsuit is almost sold out #EW and the TaTa top is on backorder! There’s has to be a better way for gals to flaunt their bods and make a statement. These pieces look like they belong in a middle school sex ed class, not on a woman’s body, and definitely not on the beach. Do these swimsuits make you want to vom or would you wear one? Let us know in the comments below.
