Unlike Spring, Florals For Fall Aren’t A No-Brainer: Here’s How To Wear Them
August 14, 2012
We love florals for spring and summer–what girl doesn’t–but find them harder to wear as the colder months approach. A floral sundress or top looks amazing with a tan and sky high wedges, but it definitely takes a little more effort to style your winter foliage. To help you out, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite fall florals and some tips for wear.
1) Tone down the colors. Instead of pastel on white, look for jewel tones on dark grey or black backgrounds.
2) Pair with black. Nothing takes a bright pattern down a notch like a pair of well-fitted black jeans or pants.
3) Layer, layer, layer. We love just a smidge of floral peeking it out in the fall–whether on the collar of your blouse, or the hem of your skirt.
