With stores popping up all over the country, American Apparel is our favorite superstore in the making. All of its t-shirts, shorts and undies are made completely sweat-shop free in their downtown LA factory, making it a great place to stock up on basics. Their no-frills garments are also incredibly cute, with flattering, feminine cuts.

Stella McCartney recently announced her partnership with adidas, becoming perhaps the first A-list designer to create a line of workout wear. A great trend, and we can't wait for it to hit stores. The spring/summer line is set to debut in February, and based on the designs, it will be well worth the wait. Stressing both style and performance, pieces are available for running, working out at the gym or swimming, and they come in wonderful muted colors and shades of gray.
