10 SPF Products To Try Instead Of Nasty White Rub-In Sunscreen

Growing up in Florida, sunscreen HAD to be part of my daily routine. It just wasn’t negotiable. Before anyone left the house, the nagging words “Did you put on sunscreen?!” always managed to escape my mother’s mouth. Back when I was a kid, I hated putting on that nasty white cream. Do you blame me? Sunscreen smells and it’s not like your normal body lotion. It just doesn’t feel good on your skin. And especially as a kid, I didn’t realize why it was important.

As I grew older, I began to hear about SPF, wrinkles, aging, and worse…skin cancer. But, I still wasn’t too crazy about the whole smelly, goopy sunscreen thing. So, I had to find an alternative to protect my skin from the South Florida sun.

I’ve tried everything including SPF makeup, mists, gels, rub-ons, sticks, and even towelettes, but not all of the alternative sunscreen products are equal. Some don’t work and you end up sunburnt anyways #fail. Others, turn you orange or make you smell (ew!). But, some are actually really great! Lucky for you, we have a slideshow full of great alternative products so you won’t have to suffer through another summer of old fashioned white rub-in sunscreen. Check out all your other options now!
