Out: Surf spray. Beach waves are a sign of summertime! [via The Blonde Salad]

In: Hair serum. Fall is the best hair season ever, so embrace your locks with a bit of shine. Try this silicone-free Living Proof Satin Hair Serum ($29).

Out: Tinted moisturizer. Dewy skin suits the warmer weather months, as a real foundation will melt right off in the heat and humidity.

In: Clinique's SuperPrimers ($27). For fall, you'll need a bit more coverage and these amazing primers will create the perfect canvas for your foundation. They'll also help your foundation stay put longer, and there's a specific formula for each skin type (ie: dull skin, redness, etc.).

Out: Bronzer. Unless you're going to be at a tropical beach, put it aside until next year.

In: Plum-colored blush. We're loving this LORAC PRO Powder Cheek Stain ($20).

Out: Neon nail polish. [via Jamie Nelson]

In: We did a whole roundup of what polishes were "in" for fall. Check out all the shades here.

Out: Punch-colored lipstick. That's so summer 2013.

In: Burgundy-colored shades are in for fall. We're obsessed with this Kevyn Aucoin The Expert Lip Color in Dantrice ($35).
