Things can happen out of nowhere. You cut your hand cooking or you burn your neck with a curling wand. Basically, you never know what can happen and it’s best to be prepared. Here are 11 items you should always have available in your medicine cabinet.
Band-Aids. This one is obvious. If you have a cut or scrape, cover it up with a Band-Aid.
Advil/Aleve. When you have cramps or a migraine, you’ll need something to relieve the pain.
Eye drops. These are essential for who wears contact lenses or has allergies. Nothing is more irritating than dry eyes.
Digestive aids. Having an upset stomach or heartburn is not fun. Keep Tums or Rolaids on hand to relieve any stomach pain.
Cough/cold medicine. Don’t you hate when a cold pops up out of nowhere? Keep it at bay with the medicine you have in your cabinet. You should also keep a bag of cough drops.
Melatonin. For the nights you have trouble falling asleep, melatonin may help relax you into a slumber.
Feminine products. For obvious reasons.
Benadryl. If you have allergies it’s important to keep an antihistamine on hand.
Baby powder. This is great to have on hand for any rashes, skin irritation or greasy hair.
Hydrogen peroxide. Clean out any minor cuts or scrapes with hydrogen peroxide.
The list can go on and on. It’s important to keep the basics on hand in case of any medical mishap. Obviously, you can fill your medicine cabinet with things like bobby pins, scrunchies, dental floss, etc. If you’re missing any of the above, it’s time to take a trip to your local drugstore!
