For starters, if you don’t know what being basic is, educate yourself here. Okay, you watched? Good. Now moving on to a basic b*tchs favorite day of the year, Halloween. This holiday celebrated being “basic” before it was even a thing. Many moons ago (listen up kiddies!), Lindsay Lohan Cady Heron explained Halloween in the real world vs. girl world. Watch below:
Yep, that pretty much sums it up. There’s no basic costume, because girls (guilty) have already been wearing it for years. Cat, mouse, bunny, nurse, devil, librarian, anything that only requires a tight black American Apparel dress and ears/hat/glasses is basic. Betcha didn’t think you’d need those “costumes” from your college years again did ya??
If dressing up as basic means actually wearing something else, then isn’t it not basic at all? That’s why we think it’s actually kind of brilliant to dress up as a basic chick who is dressed as something else for Halloween. Who knew something so simple could be so complicated?
