The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

Ponchos – or “drug rugs” as they are lovingly known – are officially back. First, Tory Burch featured a Cheech & Chong-approved Baja Hoodie in her Spring 2011 show, and now stylish celebs from Kim Kardashian, Kate Hudson and Jessica Simpson are loving them. If you still need to be convinced, ponchos 1) work on all body types and, 2) are as suitable for the airport (a la Kim and Jessica) as they are for the red carpet (Kate wore hers to the premiere). Plus, they “hide all sins” and are totally warm. Try the look:

This Trina Turk Striped Poncho Sweater ($173.60, down from $248) is belted, so you can show off what you want, and hide the rest. Plus, it’s super soft and perfect for travel.

Wear this Wilster ‘Morrison’ Poncho ($121) with an arm load of bangles and sparkly cuff bracelets for a cool, winter nighttime look. The black and white geometric pattern is just like Kim and Kate’s ponchos.

You will live in this C&C California Striped Poncho Sweater ($235) all winter. Wear it over skinny jeans, with black over the knee boots and hoop earrings and get the Kim Kardashian effect.
