I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t like avocado. Just kidding…kind of. What’s not to like?! It’s so versatile and has a lot of health (and beauty!) benefits. Avocado toast has spiked in popularity recently and it’s something everyone should know how to make. Why spend money on avocado toast at a restaurant when you can make it in the comfort of your own home for, like, less than $5. Avocado toast is super easy to make and it’s virtually impossible to mess up.
Ingredients:
1/2 avocado
1 slice of whole wheat bread, toasted
Olive oil
Sea salt
Cracked pepper
Red pepper flakes, optional
Directions:
1. Place the cut up (or sliced) avocado on top of your bread. Using a fork, gently mash up the avocado to your liking.
2. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Add red pepper flakes if desired and top it off with a drizzle of olive oil.
That’s it! If you want to jazz up your avocado toast, try adding tomatoes, bacon, cheese, eggs, corn salsa and whatever else you can think of. The possibilities are endless.
