Fall has arrived, winter is coming, and for our closets: boot season is back. We love our boots; they’re so versatile. They can be high-heeled or flats and work for every occassion. So while we may have reasons a, b, and c as to why we own as many boots as we do, the real question is where do we put them? What is the best way to store our boots?
Dilemma #1, most of us don’t even have closets. Or the ones who do have closets don’t even have much space to work with… so what now? Well if you don’t have it, make it. Create your own space.
1) Use a bookshelf with adjustable shelves.
You can buy a bookshelf anywhere, and once the bookshelf is assembled, you can just lay your boots out the way you would lay your books! You can even get quirky and add plants or other small decorations, or apply wallpaper to the backs of the shelves to give the bookshelf a pop of color.
2) Use an armoire.
They’re elegant, which means that keeping your boots in an armoire will serve a purpose beyond boot storage, it’ll also add a cozy vintage element to your room! Also, the armoire will look great whether the doors are kept shut or left open!
3) Make a DIY crate boot rack.
We had to save the best idea for last. We love the idea of using wooden crates because it gives off that rustic, homey feel. Also, the DIY component means it not only serves its purpose of shoe storage, but it also is affordable! It’s a win-win.
