4 Easy Ways To Soothe Dry Skin For Good

No matter the season, we all experience dry skin at some point. Whether your skin is naturally dry or you’re not as diligent about moisturizing as you should be, healing parched skin is something every woman has to deal with.

Luckily, the task isn’t all that hard when you have the right tools and techniques. Just use these tips the next time you’re dealing with a dry spell and your skin will be back to healthy and hydrated in no time.

1. Start in the shower. It should go without saying, but what you use to cleanse your skin is critically important. Lots of cleansers and body washes actually contain harsh ingredients that not only dry your skin, but also strip it of its natural moisture. Instead of washing with one of those, use a soap or body wash that’s formulated with goat milk. Goat milk contains ingredients that naturally balance the alkalinity of skincare products so that they don’t rob your skin of its moisture. Try Nature by Canus pure vegetal base soap with Fresh Canadian Goat Milk Soap and Real Shea Butter, which was recently voted 2018 Product of the Year by over 40,000 consumers.

2. Lock it in. The one thing you should do the moment you step out of the shower or bath? Lock in that moisture with a powerful lotion. Again, something made with goat milk is your best bet because this ingredient’s shorter protein strands allow for easy absorption to nourish and heal skin that needs extra TLC. Nature by Canus’ Shea Butter Lotion not only has the benefits of fresh goat milk, but is also made with shea butter to increase hydration and help your skin maintain its natural elasticity.

3. Spot treat. Some areas of your body will require a bit more special attention than others. Knees, elbows, feet and hands are particularly susceptible to dryness, so don’t be afraid to give them a little extra lotion during your post-shower rubdown and throughout the day. Nature by Canus’ Fragrance-Free Creamy Body Lotion works well on all skin types (yes, even sensitive!).

4. Drink up. You’ve heard it before, but we’ll say it again: drink water. One of the easiest and most effective ways to ward off dry skin is to hydrate from within. Invest in a reusable water bottle that you can carry with you to stay hydrated throughout the day.
