Growing up in Florida, I was basically born on the beach and ran around with perfectly wavy hair like it was no big deal. Fast forward about 15 years, and that “back from the beach look” is all any girl wants during spring and summer. Now, I definitely wouldn’t call myself a trendsetter, but I know a good beach wave when I see one.
When I moved away from the sand and ocean to a landlocked part of Florida and now New York, I was determined to find a way to recreate the voluminous beach waves of my past, but this hair style is one of the most difficult to master unless you have the luxury of literally dunking your head in salt water and flipping it around like a mermaid. You could spend hours in front of a mirror trying to sculpt the perfect set of waves, and still have no success. Trust me. I feel your pain. I’ve been there. But since I am such a beach girl at heart, I was determined to find the best beach wave hacks. I’ve tried them, and I promise they work. So check them out in our slideshow, because summer is right around the corner and you’ll want to be prepared.
