We all know olive oil has a bunch of health benefits and obviously it’s a necessity when cooking. Did you know olive oil can be used to help many beauty-related issues? Keep on reading to see how you can use olive oil outside of the kitchen.
Cuticle oil. Massage a tiny bit of olive oil onto your cuticles if you’re in need of moisture. It will keep your cuticles looking healthy and maintained.
Soothe cracked heels. If you experience cracked or dry heels, olive oil will immediately fix this problem. Before you shower, exfoliate your feet to remove any dead skin. When you get out of the shower, skip foot cream and apply a generous amount of olive oil all over your feet. Put on a pair of cotton socks and wear them overnight. You’ll wake up to super soft feet.
Makeup brush cleaner. Don’t spend money on expensive shampoos for your makeup brushes. Mix together olive oil and dish soap and gently swirl around your makeup brushes. The makeup will completely wipe off and the olive oil will keep the brush bristles moisturized.
Lip scrub. Make your own lip scrub with sugar, olive oil and honey. Mix the ingredients together and gently massage the mixture on your lips. When you wash it off, you’ll be left with smooth lips.
Makeup remover. Apply a little bit of olive oil on a cotton pad and swipe it along your face and eyes. The oil will pick up any oil-based products leaving your face fresh and clean.
Hair treatment. Microwave olive oil for a few seconds to warm it up and apply it to your scalp. Let it sit for 20 minutes then rinse it off in the shower with your normal routine. It will hydrate your scalp and hair.
