Last night, E! premiered “I Am Cait,” the Caitlyn Jenner docu-series everyone’s been waiting to see. In case you mieed it, here are some highlights from the first epiosde:
Kylie Jenner meets Caitlyn for the first time via Facetime.
Caitlyn is having breakfast with her mother and sisters when she gets a FaceTime call from Kylie. Before realizing that her daughter has not yet met Caitlyn, she answers the video chat request. Turns out, Kylie was calling right after a dentist appointment and was “a little loopy.” Catilyn told Kylie “I don’t want to scare you.” “You’re not scaring me,” Kylie said. You look pretty!”
Later in the episode, Kylie meets Caitlyn in person and gifts her blue hair extensions.
The show spreads awareness on transgender suicide.
Caitlyn pays a visit to the family and friends of a 14-year-old transgendered teen who committed suicide. In an emotional scene, she tells them to “hang out with the people that love and respect you.” The show also ends with this PSA: “If you are a young person in crisis, feeling suicidal, or in need of a safe and judgement-free place to talk, call the Trevor Lifeline at 866-488-7386.” The series will definitely be an emotional journey.
Rob Kardashian calls Caitlyn.
After her Vanity Fair cover was released, Caitlyn received a flood of support via social media from her children, stepchildren and ex-wives. While Rob Kardashian didn’t recognize Caitlyn at first, he immediately called her once he realized it was her on the cover.
Kim Kardashian also called Caitlyn right after she joined Twitter to tell her that she might beat Obama’s record of gaining 1 million followers in 5 hours. Sure enough, Caitlyn did beat that record (she loves crushing records!!).
Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who’da thought! Humbled & honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support.

Caitlyn admits to very dark times in her life where she thought about ending it all.
Although we know Caitlyn is a very strong person, she did open up about her lifelong struggle with gender. She tells a story of being in her home with a gun and wanting to end it all. “No more pain, no more suffering, that struggle,” she tells the cameras.
Kanye says something empowering.
While visiting Caitlyn, Kanye tells her, “I think this is one of the strongest things that have happened in our existence as human beings.” Yeezy, so wise, so wise. Also, he SMILES.
Caitlyn is still afraid she will still tear her family apart.
“Even Kylie coming over today – you never know, when they get away from here and they go home they go ‘Oh my god, that is strange,’ ” said Caitlyn later in the episode. “Khloé hasn’t been here. Kourtney hasn’t been here and hasn’t met Caitlyn. Rob. Maybe them not being around is, you know, kind of their way of saying ‘I don’t really agree with this or what.’ ” However, since the episode was filmed, the Kardashian/Jenner family have supported Catilyn at various events including the ESPY Awards.
