6 Super Easy Ways To Boost Your Mood Instantly #WellnessWednesday

We all get in a funk now and again. It’s hard to stay positive when it seam like the world is out to get you on a particularly bad day. But if you find yourself harboring more negative vibes than you can handle, here are some simple ways to boost your mood that’ll start working instantly.

1. Get up and get moving. It’s no secret that endorphins are released when exercising, so when you’re feeling the weight of the world, get up and move around. Take a quick walk, or hit the gym for a bit. It’ll clear your head.

2.Find some calming scents. Certain smells elicit positive stimuli, so when you mood isn’t great, turn on a diffuser, put in a few drop of essential oils such as lavender, peppermint, etc., and feel your mood start to change. But if oils aren’t your thing, candles also do the trick quite nicely.

3.Go ahead and vent. There’s a reason you’re in a bad mood, so go ahead and address it. Air all of your grievances. Get them off of your chest, and try to let it go. I know it’s easier said than done. But just talking about your issues instead of keeping them bottled up can make you feel better.

4.Give yourself a treat. When things get tough, indulge yourself with a small pick-me-up. Keep a little stash of you favorite dark chocolates for such occasions, as chocolate has been known to boost attitudes.

5.Dance it out. Music is a quick way to change a gloomy mood. Turn up your happy song, tune everything else out, and get lost in the feels of the melody.

6.Turn the frown upside down. I’m not joking around. Try suppressing the pout and simply smile. There’s something to be said for faking it till you make it!
