In the past, women weren’t the heads of their households and couldn’t even vote, so marketers mostly ignored them. But then, you know, feminism and all that happened. And now, it’s a well-known fact that women buy things and often make financial decisions for the family. Cue weird products marketed specifically to women. Sometimes, it’s just the same products as those for men but reformulated and aimed at women (Speed Stick, anyone?).
