'90s Nostalgia Can't Be Stopped: DKNY's Throwback Collab With Opening Ceremony
January 31, 2013
My inner high-top wearing, Alanis Morissette-loving ’90s child is freakin’ out. DKNY just announced that they will partner with taste-making retailer Opening Ceremony for a 15-piece capsule collection of ’90s looks, inspired by DKNY’s early years. This is just more exciting news for Generation Y, as throwbacks to the decade have been all the rage recently with Lisa Frank x Urban Outfitters, Wildfox’s Clueless-inspired lookbook – even the spring runways sort of mirrored ’90s style icons. The collab will include puffer jackets, jumpsuits, logo tees and more – many that prominently feature the signature DKNY NYC landscape print.
Of the collaboration, Opening Ceremony cofounder Carol Lim said:
DKNY was a pioneer of streetwear fashion in the Nineties. We have been longtime fans of the brand and were very excited to bring back select, quintessential styles that feel fresh even today.
Prices range from $145 to $665. You can shop the entire collection starting tomorrow here.
