Hot on the heels of the H&M x Maison Martin Margiela announcement, Topshop revealed its upcoming collaboration with JW Anderson, London-based knitwear genius with a cult following in the UK, today. JW Anderson x Topshop is set to launch in September, with a second installment scheduled for 2013. It’s going to be huge. Not convinced? “It has always been very important to me that my collections are made accessible to anyone interested in fashion and design,” JW Anderson said in the press release.
The capsule collection will include jersey, denim, knitwear, and outerwear, as well as fun trinkets like pencils, memory sticks, rubik’s cubes, vintage magazines and photography books. They had us at knitwear.With upcoming Louise Gray, Reclaim To Wear and Richard Nicoll collaborations, and recent Chloe Green and Maarten Van Der Horst collections, we don’t know how Topshop does it. Not that we are complaining.
