For the long haul, I drag out my suitcases, but usually I only take weekend trips, which means I constantly deal with the hassle of a half-full suitcase. Enter the Mariposa Doctors Bag and my troubles are over.
The Mariposa is a large carry-on satchel that opens fully at the top, making it a cinch to cram goodies into every last corner, thus giving the bag its butterfly-rific name. It also has a surprisingly comfortable shoulder strap, so you can keep both arms free for juggling all your identification at the airport. The ballistic nylon shell means that you’re covered, rain or shine, and it packs a sturdy punch. (I haul my 7-pound laptop in it regularly—I can vouch that this thing is tough.)
So if it’s a two week vacation in Italy you’re planning, you’ll want a bigger suitcase (check out our Luggage Guide for help there)—and congratulations on the trip! But if a weekend away from it all is what you have on your itinerary, the Mariposa is the only bag you’ll need.
