What: Pierre Hardy shoes
Why: Ah, the French. We must admit they are quite on top of their game when it comes to fashion. Pierre Hardy, formerly of Hermès, may very well be Paris’s king of footwear. His shoes are serious works of art, some so much so that they’re not really, well, wearable (case in point: these over-the-top striped wedges). Still, his chic pieces will make your feet feel and look like a million bucks.
Elegance du jour is found in the turquoise-and-gold strap heels ($639). Or turn heads by sporting the orange ($522) or electric-blue classic pumps ($526). Then there are those purely feminine spring/summer beauties, like the purple batik sandals ($481) and the red batik peep-toes. C’est magnifique!
