A Find: Gold ‘N Dulcinea
April 6, 2007
Why: Some people smoke, some drink, but my nasty, expensive little habit is somewhat less common. Every time a major event occurs in my life — I land a new job, sign on a new apartment, switch to a new brand of shampoo — I reward myself by buying underwear. Needless to say, I have drawers full of the stuff, and I’m proud to say I treat it right.
I invested in a Gold ‘n Dulcinea drawer sachet and it has helped keep my collection pristine. The line of sachets, created by three New York Gold ‘N Girls, celebrates “luxury, opulence and spoiled natures.†And how. The sachets themselves are works of art, almost impossible to banish to a dark drawer, covered in cashmere, velvet or silk charmeuse, and encrusted with mother of pearl, Sawrovski crystals, feathers and silk roses. Scents range from sweet (red raspberry, vanilla biscotti) to sensual (rich plum, amber, worn leather). They make perfect gifts for brides-to-be or anyone whose lingerie-buying habits are a tad on the neurotic side.
Price: $130 to $310
