Most of us don’t really wake up until after that first skim latte. But if you don’t want to wait for your morning cup of java to brew, give Shower Shock Caffeinated Soap a shot. Each bar claims to serve approximately 200 milligrams of caffeine per wash with about 12 washes per bar. Created by ThinkGeek, the glycerin soap lacks harsh chemicals and smells not of coffee but of cool peppermint. Based on my experience, any shock to your system will likely come from the aromatherapy of the minty-scented suds, not from ingesting caffeine through your skin. But the refreshing properties of peppermint are perfect for soothing sun-scorched summer skin. And I’ve noticed that many anti-cellulite creams contain caffeine.
