David & Young’s Tweed Newsboy Cap

The Newsboy Cap is Back.

Ever hear someone say, “I don’t look good in hats. My head isn’t shaped right for them”? The again-fashionable newsboy cap might change their minds. I owned one about 15 years ago and am happy to report this oldie but goodie is slowly coming back into style.

It goes by many names including the Eight Panel, Apple, Button Top or Gatsby Cap. I’ve seen it on a few people recently, including on a lovely French woman on the Champs Elysees in Paris. It’s unisex and versatile, and can be worn with the bill pulled down on the head or pushed back.

And although the cap isn’t exactly dressy, it can make a simple casual outfit look rather smart. Plus, you’ll feel rather smart for finding your cap at Nordstrom.comiconwhere newsboys are a steal for under 20 bucks.
