Style maven Alexa Chung is back with another collection for Madewell, and this time around it’s perhaps even more covetable than her first—in the first hours of its release online, Madewell.com crashed. See what Alexa has to say about the site crashing on the day of her release:

“Congrats! You crashed the @madewell1937 website with the purchase onslaught. Glad you like it! Xxxx,” Alexa tweeted last night. Considering the fact that last year’s Alexa Chung for Madewell line was such a smashing success, AND that Alexa is essentially responsible for Mulberry’s skyrocketing sales, it goes without saying that the girl is onto something.

If her new line is anything like Missoni for Target (which crashed Target’s website), we’ve got money on it ending up on eBay in the next couple of hours. But, since Madewell had the smarts to put a cap on the amount people can buy (only two of each style per customer), we’re hoping the site will be back up and running in no time. Check for yourself right now at Madewell.com.
