Have All The Alice In Wonderland Collaborations Gotten Out Of Hand?

The anticipation for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland has been building for what seems like years, and the fashion world appears to be a major fan.  Don’t get us wrong, we’re all about supporting just about anything with Johnny Depp, but the number of designers feeling “inspired” by a movie that has yet to come out (the release date is March 5) is getting a little out of hand.  What started with pretty Sue Wong dresses expanded into the realms of jewelry and makeup to the point where there are Alice-inspired looks for nearly every day of the week.

Tom Binns

Tom Binns’ cheeky jewelry is normally priced way beyond what we can afford, but his line for Disney is thankfully much more affordable, so we can’t argue against this collaboration.  Inspired by Anne Hathaway’s Queen character, the black hearts necklace ($176) is a great statement piece to wear with a simple shift.  This edgy chain-link charm bracelet ($178),  keyhole necklace ($252) and hat-and-scissors necklace ($252) are all inspired by the Mad Hatter.

Sue Wong

Why would you throw on normal evening attire for your next party when you can can be Alice in Wonderland themed.  If you have some extra cash to throw down the rabbit hole, try the scalloped beaded dress (left) at $588, or for something more understated and less pricey try the pink and black lace cocktail dress for $388.

Harajuku Lovers

Even Gwen Stefani couldn’t resist the power of Alice–creating a Harajuku Lovers perfume ($45) said to have been inspired by the character.

OPI Nail Polish

Alice in Wonderland inspired nail polish is a little crazy. But apparently, even your makeup can show your love for Alice with OPI’s line of brightly colored nail polishes.  Absolutely Alice ($6.95) is a glittery blue that we don’t recommend wearing to the office, but Thanks So Muchness! ($6.95) is a pretty shade of pinkish-red.

Uniqlo

These seem more like something a tween would wear, so we were a little surprised when we heard master of basics and collaborations, Uniqlo, created tunics inspired by both the classic animated and the Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland.  Nearly all the pieces, including these tunics ($15.50), are under $20–but would you wear them?

Swarovski

Swarovski, never one to miss a chance to collaborate,  announced its involvement with the movie, too. We guess if you’re a really big fan, or you love playing cards, it may make sense. The two piece ring set ($100) and these dangly earrings ($95.95) are two examples of the line.
