Amazon's New Luxury Division Gives A Whole New Meaning To 'One-Stop Shop'
August 15, 2012
For years, you’ve been buying books, DVDs and other gadgets on Amazon.com; I mean where else are you going to have a shopping cart filled with such varied items as socks, books, batteries and… designer clothing? No, you didn’t read wrong. After 6 years of being your go-to for everything BUT high fashion, Amazon is making waves with a new luxury division, where you can shop Michael Kors, Vivienne Westwood, Catherine Malandrino, Trina Turk, and Tracy Reese (to name a few).
Unlike (pretty much) everything else on the site, the price tags aren’t majorly discounted (that’s what Amazon-owned flash site MYHABIT is for). But the site is a major draw for busy women who don’t have time to make several online purchases a day. Think about it: for every site you shop, you have to enter your address and/or shipping address, credit card information, or, at the very least, log-in for sites that have your info saved. By streamlining your check-outs to 1 site, think of how much extra time you’ll have. Like, for more online shopping.
