As if these pictures of the full Catherine Malandrino x Kohl’s collection weren’t exciting enough, the retailer just announced that its next collaboration is with none other than Peter Som. Following in the footsteps of Catherine Malandrino (duh), Narcisco Rodriguez and Derek Lam, Som is the latest designer to be tapped for Kohl’s DesignNation series.
For his collection, Som drew inspiration from a recent trip to St. Barth’s, meaning everything will be bright, printed and colorful. Oh, and of course the collection will have an easygoing vibe, because nothing says fancy laid-back vacation clothes more than St. Barth’s and Peter Som. Expect maxi dresses, bomber jackets and plenty of jersey pieces with palm tree and flower prints (see, we told you, easy, breezy).
Som tells WWD that his main reason for partnering with Kohl’s was, “It allows me to reach a broader audience, but not sacrifice fashion”. Everything in the collection is under $90 and will be available in Kohl’s stores and online this spring. So, we’d say he’s got the whole accessible clothing line down thanks to this collab.
