Apple Released Their First-Ever iPhone Battery Case
December 8, 2015
Apple just released a brand new iPhone product today and it’s the first-ever of its kind for the company. Eight years after the first iPhone was released, Apple finally made a battery case. The iPhone Smart Battery Case made its way online today and it’s causing quite a bit of stir.
Many people are wondering if Apple’s case is so “funky” looking because it had to go around all the patents that the Mophie has on their case. The case retails for $99 and is available in charcoal gray or white. Apple claims this case will extend the talking time of an iPhone 6 or 6S up to 25 hours, plus Internet use up to 18 hours on LTE and 20 hours of video.
One thing, however, that the Mophie case doesn’t have is this one feature. Instead of displaying a series of lights on the actual case, Apple’s battery life for the case is displaying on your phone’s screen. Plus, you don’t have to worry about turning the case on and off because it will charge your phone when needed and stop when it’s not in use.
