Beauty Roadtest: Rain or Shine, Sephora Waterproof Eyeliner Stays On Your Eyes

We’ve got the best mascara down–but Sephora is always raising the bar on what we expect from makeup, engineering a new Sephora waterproof eyeliner ($8) we had to try. It may seem excessive, but think about it: what’s the point of having a waterproof mascara if your eyeliner is still going to drip down your face? This weekend, I tried it out, with only a few minutes to spare before my dinner reservation.

It went on smoothly, albiet a little thicker than other eyeliners. The only caveat is that it  took more attention to detail to get lashline filled in, as it doesn’t blend as easily as other eyeliners. As a result, I was almost late for the reservation, but  it delivered: at the end of the long night, my eyeliner was still right where I had left it–on my eyes, not underneath. After I washed my face, it was still there, which admittedly was annoying, but the Sephora eye makeup remover ($6), made just for this problem, took care of it in seconds.

See more of the best mascara, eyeliners, concealers, and of course, waterproof makeup to complete your look.
