Celebs and supermodels hawking beauty products is nothing new. But attention should be paid when one personally creates a new skin care line, staking her reputation and beautiful face on its results. Cindy Crawford has done just that, creating Meaningful Beauty with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh. I tried out the six-part system and was very impressed overall. The mild cleanser removes make-up and removes it well, even without water. I found the Maintenance 1 (day moisturizer) too sticky to wear alone but it does provide the perfect primer for make-up. The eye crème was semi-miraculous. Whereas most products take weeks before you see results, I noticed diminished puffiness immediately. It’s two weeks later and I swear the skin underneath my eyes is tighter. I’ll use it religiously. Same goes for the masque– your skin feels spa-refreshed and revitalized after 15 minutes. Maintenance 2 (night fluid) is very light and Cindy warns, “Don’t let the texture fool you. It’s delivering intensive moisture and nutrients to the skin.†I’m still waiting to see the overnight repair work that the 11 key ingredients are supposed to initiate. But it has to be better than my usual routine of scrubbing the make-up off and crashing into bed without any nighttime protection.
