Smear On The Look Of Love With Smashbox O-Glow

What: Smashbox O-GLOW, $26

Why: I normally adhere to the school of thinking, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it. But even though I haven’t had any problems with my tried and true powder blush, I decided to depart from all things old and give Smashbox’s O-Glow a try.

I proceeded with caution, squeezing a small amount of the gel onto the back of my hand, just to see how it worked. As I rubbed it in, my hand began to blush and I fell in love. No, I mean really in love, because that's the look this stuff gives you–that first-date, candlelit, totally-in-to-you glow that only comes when both the guy and the wine are great.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not completely abandoning my powder blush, but this gel is like magic. It’s easy to use, completely lightweight and delivers just the right amount of color. One note of caution, though. A little bit goes a long way with this, so avoid looking sunburnt by just using a small dab.
