Beauty Find: Or How-to-Find

Black polish (and other dark shades) have finally hit the Midwest. A few months back, people thought I was goth. Now they’re fighting me for my fav shades! And I’m not the only one noticing the competition… Blogdorf Goodman says Chanel’s Black Ceramic was gone in northern Ohio before Christmas.

So what’s a girl to do? You can put your name on a request list at department stores like Macy’s or Saks and wait…and wait…. and wait….Or you can be a good SheFinds reader and score a winning look-alike on the internet. image

Here are some of our favorites:

Essie’s ‘Licorice’icon ($7 at Beauty.com)

Lippmann Collection’s ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’icon ($15 at Beauty.com)

Urban Decay’s ‘Perversion’icon ($5 at Beauty.com)

OPI’s ‘Black Onyx’($7.50 at Amazon.com)

Now, if the black-black scares you (kind of the like the girls at the MAC counter scare me) then check out dark shades with red, brown or purple undertones:

OPI’s ‘Romeo & Joliet’ ($7.00 at Amazon.com)

OPI’s ‘The Chicago Collection Lincoln Park After Dark’($7.50 at Amazon.com)

Essie’s ‘Priceless’icon ($7 at Beauty.com)
