Beauty Find: Pressed for Color

What: Youngblood Pressed Eyeshadow Quads

Why: Much as I’d love to splurge on a new wardrobe with every season change, and every post fashion week trend alert, my budget doesn’t allow me to indulge this constant desire to reinvent myself. Instead of splurging on a pair of sexy stilettos I’ll only wear once, I’ve taken to buying myself some great new makeup each season, successfully satiating my new season need for something new without destroying my credit rating.

This spring, I’m brightening up my face with Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quads. The names, Mermaid and Purple Majesty, may appeal to my childhood Disney aspirations (“I wanna be where the people are…”), but the look is totally grownup goddess. The shadows are highly pigmented and easy to blend, so the color really pops and complements your natural eye color.

Maybe if my eyeshadow is great enough, no one will notice that I’m wearing last season’s skinny jeans.

Price: $35.95
