Beauty Find: Shadow for Gold Card Girls
November 29, 2005
Ok, fine. The Tarte Platinum Princess Eyeshadow Palette (30.00) caught my eye because of it’s shiny packaging. But the 4 color combo is cool. Get an angled brush, like the Sephora Short Handle Beveled Eyebrow Brush, it’s not just for brows. Using a stiff, angled brush allows you to really take advantage of bright eyeshadows without looking like you should be rocking out with Jem and the Holograms.
The golden shimmer works well as an all-over base, feel free to apply liberally up to the brow bone. If your eyes are hazel or brown, use the angled brush to apply the plummy-purple as an eyeliner and smudge the forest green on the outside corner. Remember to blend, Cleopatra eyes are for special occasions. Green or blue eyed girls should reverse it and use the green as a liner to bring out the green and gold flecks in their eyes. Line the bottom lid with the copper color or blend all-over with the gold for a less vibrant, daytime look. This palette is perfect for your purse. Find it at Sephora.com.
