If there’s one thing I’m most self-conscious about, it’s my undereye circles. No matter how much I sleep or treat them with crazy expensive creams and serums, they never go away. As such, I’ve developed quite the collection of concealers. I’m always looking for a formula that looks natural, but actually does something to disguise the purplish blue skin under my eyes.
The best one I’ve come across to date? Benefit’s Boing Airbrush Concealer. This stuff is amazing. It actually offers lots of coverage without feeling thick or cakey on my skin.
The key to using this concealer is all in the application. I first tried to apply the concealer with my finger (like I do most of my makeup), but wasn’t thrilled with the results. I randomly decided to try it with a makeup a sponge and wowza, what a difference. Using the right tool to apply this concealer is essential, IMO.
Also, you do need to let this concealer “warm up” before blending it. Just apply it on your skin, let it sit for a minute or two, then blend. It makes the coverage so much smoother and more even.
It definitely took a few tries for me to master this concealer, but now I am obsessed. It’s really the only product I trust to hide my undereye circles; it lasts all day and the coverage is always smooth and never super noticeable. Basically, everything you want in a good concealer!
