Looking and feeling great in your clothes often comes down to one key factor: your bra. Yes, believe it or not, wearing a comfortable, supportive bra can totally make or break what you thought would be a killer outfit.

Chances are, if you’re like most women, you’ve had your fair share of frustrating bra shopping experiences. Trying to get your exact measurements at home? Getting fondled by a salesperson in a store? Finding the perfect bra isn’t always easy, but take my word for it, it’s oh so worth.

Because we’re such staunch believers that the right bra really can make a big difference, we did some research and identified the best bras for different cup sizes. Whether you’re small, full or somewhere in between, here’s what to look for in a bra depending on your cup size.

Deep V Bralette

A Cup: One of the perks of having a smaller chest? You can totally rock a wireless bra. That’s right, no underwire! Not only are these bras super comfortable, but they’re also lightweight. Looking to add a bit of volume? Good news–push up bras were basically made for this cup size. The extra padding will give you the appearance of cleavage when you want it.

Lightly Lined Balconette Bra

B Cup: Since you need a bit more support than an A Cup, go with a lightly lined balconette bra. This cut is the perfect balance of support (it has an underwire) and allure thanks to the lower cut cups.

Lightly Lined Full Coverage Bra

C Cup: Unfortunately bras without underwire or lining won’t do the job. But no worries! There are plenty of great full coverage bras that give you an even shape and the support you need.

Lighlty Lined Demi Bra

D Cup: Unless you want more volume (which you most likely don’t need), try a demi bra. This silhouette will offer some much-needed support, but the cups are lightly lined so they won’t make your breasts look bigger. Another option? Try a bra with a racerback to get that extra lift and take some pressure off your back.

Already breathing a sigh of relief now that you know where to start on your next bra shopping excursion? You’re welcome!
