As a follow-up to yesterday’s Top 3 Best Retail Blogs we’ve compiled a list of our favorite designer blogs. Not only do the sites give the designer a chance to plug press mentions and upcoming lines, but it gives you a little taste of their personalities: what they read, eat, buy and do when they’re not making amazing clothes and accessories.
1. Tory Burch
We’ll take any excuse to be on Tory Burch’s website (oh, hello new Spring dresses), but her Blog is worth checking out, too. Our favorite section is “Ask Tory,” where readers submit questions for the designer and she actually answers them. Ok, now back to shopping for Reva flats…
2. Isaac Mizrahi
All we want is to read Isaac Mizrahi’s Studio Blog . The bi-weekly posts feature his staff’s “Wish List” items – from the best books, spas, home items, jewelry and clothes (and not even from his lines!). Why we love it: the blog does not take itself, or fashion, too seriously and is just plain fun.
3. Diane Von Furstenberg
Diane Von Furstenberg’s Inside DVF is the perfect mash-up of celebrity photos, philanthropy, industry news and, of course, fashion. We love DVF’s “Mantra of the Month” – wise words from a woman who has been in the industry long enough to know what’s up.
4. Jason Wu
Jason Wu’s blog is well-written and totally addicting (not that we need another reason to procrastinate online). The site features clips of Wu in the press, pics of celebrities rocking his clothes, and other exciting news about this fast-growing brand. Try to keep up.
